Carmine Facchino, his sons Giorgio and Diego and his wife Maria Teresa grow the vineyards on their land situated on the hills of Roccagrimalda, a small middle-age village close to Ovada – a town in the heart of Orba Valley bordering Stura Valley – with the same passion as his father’s that brought him to Piedmont from Campania when he was just a little boy.
The Facchinos have always worked in the vineyards applying traditional methods; therefore, the treatments carried out on the vines have a low impact on the environment. The hand-made harvest follows a careful selection of the grapes; this way, it is possible to take to the cellars intact bunches of grapes that are promptly processed. The entire wine-making process, starting solely from the grapes that are grown in our vineyards, is carried out in our cellars and it is the fruit of the combination of modern wine-making technologies – introduced thanks to the knowledge of Giorgio and Diego – with the experience acquired in time by the Facchinos, who have been working with passion for many years to obtain unique products able to express the potential of this land.
If you come to visit us, we will share with you the love for our work through our wines.
